What to bring on a private boat charter

One of the nicest things about a private charter is how little you need to bring. The boat is set up so the day is taken care of — but a few small things make it even better. Here's the honest list, plus what's already waiting on board.

What to bring

What's already on board

Quite a lot, actually. Jason, an RYA commercially endorsed skipper and PADI dive professional, is on board to help. Every charter includes fuel, snorkel gear, a Bluetooth sound system, and a welcome Prosecco plus a selection of cold beers, soft drinks and water — chilled and ready on board. The Beneteau Flyer 9 has shade fore and aft, sun pads, a freshwater shower to rinse off, a private electric toilet below deck, and a swim platform with a ladder for easy in-and-out. Celebrating? Extra bottles of Prosecco can be arranged in advance — just let us know when you book and we'll have them chilled on board.

Travelling with children

Families are very welcome. The flat, stable deck and the swim platform make it an easy day for all ages — just let us know the children's ages when you book so we can plan the pace and have the right gear aboard.

What to leave at home

No need for your own drinks, ice or snorkels — it's all here. And there's no need to over-pack: a small bag per group is plenty. The idea is to step aboard and switch off.

If you’d like food on board, bring it with you — there’s fridge space and a table to lay it out. The welcome Prosecco and a selection of cold beers, soft drinks and water are already included.
